“We didn’t sign him last season for four years with the intention of selling him now,” Ten Hag said at a press conference on Friday.
“He must be part of this project. It’s not a subject we don’t talk about.”

“The result didn’t reflect that. Even though it was a home game for them, there were a lot of positives in our performance that we want to replicate. We can think about making some adjustments for next time.”
